Policy Digests
When I launched my campaign, I knew I wanted to engage DFLers in solution-oriented conversations surrounding our shared areas of concern within our district. To facilitate this, our campaign developed the idea for an email series titled the Policy Digests! This weekly email addresses a different policy area within our campaign’s platform. These emails are meant to be a springboard -- a foundation for a conversation that can carry on passed my campaign, into legislative sessions and beyond! The following posts are a repository of those emails’ contents.
Housing & Homelessness
The systems we have in place often require an individual to fix a multitude of problems in their lives before we provide housing. This is backwards and must be remedied within our state.
On Collaborative Governance
Collaborative Governance is more than a buzz phrase used to garner public support. It is a promise to try and create transparent accountability mechanisms that also elevate the voices and needs of the people of this district.

Education is the foundation of a healthy democracy and functioning civil society.
On the Burnsville Shooting
While we are still learning details about this shooting, too often, these tragedies are avoidable. This string of horrific incidents must cease. We must seek policy interventions and education and awareness efforts on current laws to curb gun violence.
